Long before we connected, we were both walking separate, yet strangely similar paths. Ambitious, high-achieving… and quietly exhausted
We didn’t realise it at first, but we were habitually getting in our own way. Not intentionally, and nothing dramatic, but in all the subtle, confidence eroding ways that add up over time.
For example, we’d run head first into a launch, inspired by a big vision and full of energy, and excitement...
...But once the first cohort had landed, we’d slam on the brakes. Unable to keep promoting. Unable to repeat the magic.
We’d pull back, question everything, and let the momentum fizzle out.
Or we’d jump to the next shiny strategy, seduced by the promise of faster, easier, more!
Each time thinking this one’s it!
But never sticking with it long enough to see it truly work.
We kept rebuilding the foundations instead of rising.
Second-guessing, stalling, over-thinking, over-working, and always feeling like we were falling short.
Some years, we hit six figures. Other years, we struggled just to keep our heads above water.
We couldn’t seem to break through, no matter how much we did. Nothing felt consistent. Nothing felt safe.
Success always felt just out of reach, like we weren’t quite allowed to have it.
And underneath it all, we were telling ourselves quiet, powerful stories: Don’t be too much. Don’t get it wrong. Better play it safe than be seen failing.
